 WHAT WAS THE ORIGINAL NAME OF "AFRICA" BEFORE THE EUROPEAN CAME TO CONLONIZE IT IN 1822?  As a historian, before I give my readers an account about the original name of Africa, it is imperatively important to go back billions and billions years ago in order to come back with realistic truth. When God created Adam and Eve as the first human beings on Earth (Genesis Chapter one (1) verses twenty-six to thirty-one) (26 - 3 1), God blessed them to grow in numbers and subdue the Earth through hard work in diversity.The different colours, human beings have, come as accident qualities.These colours might have come through geographical developments human beings passed through in the course of times. The Controller of Budget claims her life is in danger in kenya

The Controller of Budget, Margaret Nyakang'o now says her life is in danger following her expose of corruption in both the national and county governments.

When she appeared before the Constitution Implementation Oversight Committee (CIOC), Nyakang’o explained how she feels unsafe in office following the threats.

"The fact that I hold a protected office was ignored and I was abducted to Mombasa, but I'm here in the office without fear or favour. Sometimes I feel unsafe but the law has protected me. I'm here to carry out my duties under the law," she stated referring to her arrest in December 2023.

"The Auditor-General's office gets close to Ksh.9 billion while we only get Ksh.700 million to work with for the whole year and yet we cover the whole country. This is a big challenge to my office," she said. 

On Tuesday, September 17, Nyakango told the same committee that budgetary constraints and gaps in law had prevented her from auditing government projects.

  The  Komodo dragon  is a lizard in the family Varanidae, the monitor lizards. It is well known for being the largest living species of lizard. Lizards are reptiles in the order  Squamata , which also includes snakes. Lizards are generally smaller than other reptiles, and the Komodo dragon is an example of this.    Nine kids who were the first beneficiaries of the Victor Wanyama Foundation scholarship programme are undergoing a mentorship programme in Nairobi.With the schools closed for the mid-season break, the foundation is taking the kids through a three-day mentorship programme, Elvis Majani, the foundation’s advocate, has explained. SCHOLARSHIP “We want to develop the kids into responsible citizens and we are therefore very keen in all aspects of their lives. Some of them are coming to Nairobi for the first time and the excitement they have is evident.
