WHAT WAS THE ORIGINAL NAME OF "AFRICA" BEFORE THE EUROPEAN CAME TO CONLONIZE IT IN 1822?

WHAT WAS THE ORIGINAL NAME OF "AFRICA" BEFORE THE EUROPEAN CAME TO CONLONIZE IT IN 1822?  As a historian, before I give my readers an account about the original name of Africa, it is imperatively important to go back billions and billions years ago in order to come back with realistic truth. When God created Adam and Eve as the first human beings on Earth (Genesis Chapter one (1) verses twenty-six to thirty-one) (26 - 3 1), God blessed them to grow in numbers and subdue the Earth through hard work in diversity. The different colours, human beings have, come as accident qualities. These colours might have come through geographical developments human beings passed through in the course of times. So, being a white man, black man, red man, or the mixtures of the three (3) original colours comes as accidents or the results of natural phenomenona. The original colour of Adam and Eve wasn't discussed in the Bible as an only honest book in the history of mankind.  As one of the th...

Acting Police Inspector General Gilbert Masengeli (left) and Director of Directorate of Criminal Investigations Mohammed Ibrahim Amin after a meeting with traffic police commandants on the rising road accidents across the country, in Nairobi on September 17, 2024.

Acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli has fired a warning shot to traffic officers taking bribes on Kenyan roads.

He was speaking Tuesday at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Training Academy in Nairobi after a meeting with Regional Traffic Enforcement Officers from across the country.

The meeting discussed how to address rising road accidents that have seen tens of lives lost leaving families in anguish.

The acting IG said bribery of traffic officers was to blame for the rise in accidents this year.

Masengeli revealed that the National Police Service (NPS) has taken significant measures by ensuring that administrative action is been taken against officers caught taking bribes on the road.

“Also, we will relieve them of their traffic duties and reassign them to other areas as they await the outcome of the administrative processes,” he said.

He assured that the NPS was working hard to avert loss of lives through road accidents.

“I would like also to call upon other stakeholders like the National Transport and Safety Authority, matatu saccos, the general public, and the media to assist us in curbing road carnage that has been happening across the country,” said Masengeli.

“Not forgetting the county governments to ensure that we have the parking and bus stop areas and stages so that pedestrians may have their way,” he added.

He was accompanied by Deputy Inspector General of Kenya Police Eliud Lagat, DCI boss Mohamed Amin, and police spokesperson Dr Resila Onyango.

“We call upon all members of the public to ensure compliance with road safety requirements.”

SOCIAL AND EQUALITY TO ALL

SOCIAL AND EQUALITY TO ALL
My main agenda is adopting a Gramscian theoretical framework, the five parts of this volume focus on the various ways in which the political is discursively and materially realized in its dialogic co-constructions within the media, the economy, culture and identity, affect, and education. We focus at examining the power instantiations of sociolinguistic and semiotic practices in society from a variety of critical perspectives, this blog focus at how applied political linguists globally is responding to, and challenge, current discourses of issues such as militarism, nationalism, Islamophobia, sexism, racism and the free market, and suggests future directions. No peace, no unity, no coexistence hence all becomes vanity...! It's why the world is oval.
