 WHAT WAS THE ORIGINAL NAME OF "AFRICA" BEFORE THE EUROPEAN CAME TO CONLONIZE IT IN 1822?  As a historian, before I give my readers an account about the original name of Africa, it is imperatively important to go back billions and billions years ago in order to come back with realistic truth. When God created Adam and Eve as the first human beings on Earth (Genesis Chapter one (1) verses twenty-six to thirty-one) (26 - 3 1), God blessed them to grow in numbers and subdue the Earth through hard work in diversity.The different colours, human beings have, come as accident qualities.These colours might have come through geographical developments human beings passed through in the course of times. - The MPs accuse Ferry Kenya officers for negligence that costed two lives - They want Transport Cabinet Secretary CS James Macharia to hold accountable all officers on duty - Their demand follows the drowning of a woman and her daughter after their vehicle reversed from ferry to the ocean A section of MPs across the political divide have demanded the sacking Kenya Ferry Services (KFS), Kenya Navy Services and Kenya Coast Guards Service officers over negligence in Likoni sea accident that claimed two lives. The legislators want the National Assembly committee on transport and infrastructure to investigate the officers over their inefficiency which cost lives.

Speaking to journalists at Parliament buildings on Tuesday,October 1, the legislators led by Likoni MP Mishi Mboko asked Transport CS James Macharia to have all those officers on duty apprehended and to account for the negligence. “We demand nothing short than to see heads rolling in the Kenya ferry services, we are yet to understand how come the authority cannot employ divers or give them a token of appreciation to aid in rescue mission. “Why do we have to pay people who cannot help in times of an accident they are just there staring victims, it’s quite an embarrassing moment," said Mboko.

Source: UGC Her sentiments were echoed Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa at the floor of the house where he petitioned the committee to investigate KFS officers over alleged claims that they stood helplessly over 30 minutes during the Sunday, September 29, tragedy. On his part Lungalunga MP Khatib Mwashetani blamed the authorities for skewed employment of divers whom he claimed were given jobs without meriting. “The question of form four certificate and where one comes from should not arise in employing these divers," Mwashetani said. Other MPs who endorsed the position included; Gladys Wanga (Woman Rep Homa Bay), William Mwakale (Rabai MP), Jenifer Shamala (Nominated MP), Ruweida Obbo (Lamu Woman Rep), Lydia Haika (Taita Taveta Woman Rep),Fatima Gedi (Wajir Woman Rep), Anab Gure (Garissa Woman Rep),Naomi Shiyonga (nominated senator) and Kassim Tandaza (Matuga MP).

   Nine kids who were the first beneficiaries of the Victor Wanyama Foundation scholarship programme are undergoing a mentorship programme in Nairobi.With the schools closed for the mid-season break, the foundation is taking the kids through a three-day mentorship programme, Elvis Majani, the foundation’s advocate, has explained. SCHOLARSHIP “We want to develop the kids into responsible citizens and we are therefore very keen in all aspects of their lives. Some of them are coming to Nairobi for the first time and the excitement they have is evident.   The  Komodo dragon  is a lizard in the family Varanidae, the monitor lizards. It is well known for being the largest living species of lizard. Lizards are reptiles in the order  Squamata , which also includes snakes. Lizards are generally smaller than other reptiles, and the Komodo dragon is an example of this.
