 WHAT WAS THE ORIGINAL NAME OF "AFRICA" BEFORE THE EUROPEAN CAME TO CONLONIZE IT IN 1822?  As a historian, before I give my readers an account about the original name of Africa, it is imperatively important to go back billions and billions years ago in order to come back with realistic truth. When God created Adam and Eve as the first human beings on Earth (Genesis Chapter one (1) verses twenty-six to thirty-one) (26 - 3 1), God blessed them to grow in numbers and subdue the Earth through hard work in diversity.The different colours, human beings have, come as accident qualities.These colours might have come through geographical developments human beings passed through in the course of times. So, being a white man, black man, red man, or the mixtures of the three (3) original colours comes as accidents or the results of natural phenomenona. Deputy President William Ruto has fired back at Youth and Gender Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rachel Shebesh for openly endorsing ODM party candidate Imran Okoth during Kibra by-election campaigns. Ruto was evidently irked by Shebesh's decision to campaign for Imran, instead of the flag bearer of her own party Jubilee, and declared the former Nairobi woman representative a rebel who should be ignored and treated with utmost contempt.

Victor Wanyama Foundation scholarship beneficiaries undergo mentorship

   Nine kids who were the first beneficiaries of the Victor Wanyama Foundation scholarship programme are undergoing a mentorship programme in Nairobi.With the schools closed for the mid-season break, the foundation is taking the kids through a three-day mentorship programme, Elvis Majani, the foundation’s advocate, has explained. SCHOLARSHIP “We want to develop the kids into responsible citizens and we are therefore very keen in all aspects of their lives. Some of them are coming to Nairobi for the first time and the excitement they have is evident.
