WHAT WAS THE ORIGINAL NAME OF "AFRICA" BEFORE THE EUROPEAN CAME TO CONLONIZE IT IN 1822?

WHAT WAS THE ORIGINAL NAME OF "AFRICA" BEFORE THE EUROPEAN CAME TO CONLONIZE IT IN 1822?  As a historian, before I give my readers an account about the original name of Africa, it is imperatively important to go back billions and billions years ago in order to come back with realistic truth. When God created Adam and Eve as the first human beings on Earth (Genesis Chapter one (1) verses twenty-six to thirty-one) (26 - 3 1), God blessed them to grow in numbers and subdue the Earth through hard work in diversity. The different colours, human beings have, come as accident qualities. These colours might have come through geographical developments human beings passed through in the course of times. So, being a white man, black man, red man, or the mixtures of the three (3) original colours comes as accidents or the results of natural phenomenona. The original colour of Adam and Eve wasn't discussed in the Bible as an only honest book in the history of mankind.  As one of the th...

Kenya Proverbs M-Z

Image
Misery loves company. Nine is nearly ten. No length without end. No rain season without mosquitoes. No one can perform a celebration by himself. No water without waves. Of five fingers, which is the best? One does not throw away one's old praying mat just because of a new one that one has borrowed. One finger does not kill a louse. One in the woodpile does not laugh at the one in the fire. One person is thin porridge or gruel; two or three people are a handful of stiff cooked corn meal. One who relates with a corrupt person likewise gets corrupted. One whose seeds have not sprouted does not give up planting. Only a medicine man gets rich by sleeping. Only someone else can scratch your back. Peace is costly but it is worth the expense. Regular work tires a woman but totally wrecks a man. Someone relative is blood of the tongue, some you spit out and some you swallow. Stream, it knows where to flow. Suppression of hunger leads to death. The abundance of fruit caused the death of the ...

Image
An independent thinker with high intelligence can observe more completely and think more profoundly. Independent thinking has a very close correlation with critical thinking, but they are different. Critical thinking means making clear, reasoned judgments. While, in the process of critical thinking, your thoughts should be reasoned and well thought out/judged. (Wikipedia). While independent thinking includes "not depending on the authority of others for forming an opinion." (OXFORD). Making up your own mind, in other words.  In more detail, what does “IT” - Independent Thinking really mean, and how to cultivate such a mindset? Independent thinking is a “must have” digital mindset. Independent thinking is extremely important in the digital era in which information is only a few clicks away, but the true insight has inundated with out of dated knowledge; the real signal is mixed with a lot of noises, and the “mainstream” thinking is far lagging behind of the ocean of crowdso...

SOCIAL AND EQUALITY TO ALL

SOCIAL AND EQUALITY TO ALL
My main agenda is adopting a Gramscian theoretical framework, the five parts of this volume focus on the various ways in which the political is discursively and materially realized in its dialogic co-constructions within the media, the economy, culture and identity, affect, and education. We focus at examining the power instantiations of sociolinguistic and semiotic practices in society from a variety of critical perspectives, this blog focus at how applied political linguists globally is responding to, and challenge, current discourses of issues such as militarism, nationalism, Islamophobia, sexism, racism and the free market, and suggests future directions. No peace, no unity, no coexistence hence all becomes vanity...! It's why the world is oval.
